No, I don’t sleep under this bridge! The picture shows the beginning of the Taborstrasse, on the “Glasscherbeninsel” (Island of Shattered Glass f.k.a. “Mazzesinsel”, Matzo Island) a.k.a. Leopoldstadt, Vienna’s 2nd district. The installation in Yiddish of the Island’s name, in Hebrew letters מצותינדדזל, on this picture from summer 2016, is by artist Sebestyén Fiumei and has since been removed. -> Read more
